Who we are

This is a personal photo gallery running Capturio, a self-hosted, open-source photo publishing tool. There is no company, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.

What we collect

We collect minimal, anonymous usage data to understand how the gallery is used:

• Page type visited — whether you visited the home page, an album, a space, or a photo (e.g. "album", "photo"). No URL or title is stored in analytics logs.
• An anonymous daily identifier — a short code computed as SHA-256(random_session_id + date)[:16]. This is one-way (irreversible) and changes every day. It lets us count unique daily visitors without identifying anyone.
• Timestamp — the date and approximate time of a page view or download.
• Event type — whether you viewed a page or downloaded a photo.

What we do NOT collect

• Your IP address — it is never written to disk or stored in any database.
• Your browser, device, or operating system.
• Any account, login, email, or personal information.
• Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting data.

Cookies

We set one cookie named _vis — a randomly generated UUID (e.g. a7f3…). It is stored only in your browser and is never sent to any third party. It is used solely to compute the anonymous daily identifier described above. It expires after one year.

You can delete this cookie at any time from your browser settings. Doing so simply resets your anonymous session — no personal data is affected.

Automated traffic (bots)

We automatically detect and separately classify automated traffic (bots, crawlers, scrapers) based on their declared User-Agent string. Bot visits are recorded but excluded from all visitor statistics displayed in our admin dashboard. They are not treated as human visits.

We publish a robots.txt file that asks search engines and AI training crawlers to respect our download restrictions. Crawlers that declare themselves as AI training bots (GPTBot, CCBot, Google-Extended, etc.) are asked to refrain from indexing this gallery entirely.

Third parties

None. This gallery loads no external fonts, no analytics scripts, no social widgets, and no advertising networks. All assets are served from this server.

Data retention

Anonymous visit logs (page type, timestamp, anonymous daily hash) are retained indefinitely to allow long-term traffic analysis. No personal data is retained because none is collected.

Your rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions, please contact the site owner directly.
